Job summary

Rsk Group in Bristol is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage financial and contractual aspects of projects within a dynamic, integrated team. You will oversee cost plans, procurement strategies, and contract administration while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
  • MRICS status is desirable but not essential.
  • Confident in client facing role for respective projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods and cost management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of construction projections from inception to completion.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and procurement plans.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and addressing risks promptly.
  • Advising on procurement strategies and differing forms of contract.
  • Compiling contract documents, performance bonds and collateral warranties.
  • Administer contracts and manage variations, claims and disputes effectively.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulations.
  • Implement robust cost control measures to optimise project profitability.
  • Track project costs, expenditures and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients and stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Opportunities for Contract Administration and Employer’s Agent experience.
