Job summary

RG Setsquare is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a 6-month interim assignment in Worcestershire. The role involves contract documentation, procurement, and financial control across housing property services.

You will prepare tenders, measurements, valuations, payments, and final accounts, ensuring compliance with CDM and various contract forms. A strong background in pre- and post-contract QS activities is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in the construction industry.
• Experience across pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
• Knowledge of various forms of building contracts and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents including Tenders, Bills of Quantities, Work Schedules, Specifications, and Schedule of Rates.
• Procure goods, services, and works contracts, including tender evaluations and reporting.
• Site measurements and valuation of works, prepare payment notifications and related docs.
• Prepare and agree costs for variations and non-standard items of work.
• Analyse and agree claims and final accounts.

Our client a public sector provider are looking for a QS with a local authority background.

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team and play a key role in the development of appropriate contract documentation, procurement of goods, services and works contracts across Housing Property Services. With the delivery of these contracts the post holder is responsible for the financial measurement and valuation of works, preparing interim payments and final accounts together with all necessary project related financial reports. A few of the key Responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents including Tenders, Bills of Quantities, Work Schedules, Specifications, and Schedule of Rates.
• Procure goods, services, and works contracts, including participation in tender evaluations and reporting outcomes.
• Undertake site measurements and valuation of works, preparing payment notifications and associated documentation.
• Prepare and agree costs for variations and non-standard items of work.
• Analyse and agree claims and final accounts.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in the Construction Industry, covering pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
• Knowledge of various forms of building contracts.
• Proven experience in budget management (revenue, capital, and external funding sources).
• Experience of creating and issuing relevant contract administration documents.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Knowledge of UK H&S regulations including CDM.
