Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Repairs & Maintenance
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Salary: 50,000 - 60,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Welwyn Garden City, with a strong focus on repairs and maintenance in the social housing sector.



About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of repairs and maintenance contracts. You'll work closely with our operations and finance teams to ensure the delivery of cost-effective solutions, accurate reporting, and contractual compliance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of housing repairs and maintenance projects

  • Prepare valuations, cost reports, and forecasts

  • Monitor contract progress and ensure profitability

  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

  • Assist in tender processes and contract negotiations

  • Ensure compliance with National Housing Federation (NHF) Schedule of Rates



Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in repairs and maintenance, preferably within social housing

  • Strong understanding of the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost reporting tools

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred)
