Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: East Midlands Region

Thorn Baker has teamed up with one of the UK's leading property maintenance and refurbishment groups. A national presence serving sectors such as social housing, defence, hotel and leisure, healthcare, and education, with a turnover of c.£250m and around 1,000 employees, they have grown significantly over the last few years. To support their continued and ambitious growth plans to double in size in the next 4 years, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Shepshed Office.

Your Responsibilities:

• Obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for a number of designated projects / contracts
• Manage the commercial relationship with clients
• Produce accurate forecasts of project costs to completion in line with budgets and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or timescale
• Review and highlight contract conditions that impact, and may impact, the commercial status of each project prior to commencement, detailing all risks and key rules to the project delivery team
• Ensure individual contract information complies with Health, Safety, Welfare, and Legal requirements, ensuring it meets quality standards
• Manage work to maintain individual Client/Customer care requirements
• Advise, formulate, and submit claims for loss and expense
• Carry out commercial evaluation of all projects after completion
