A leading construction firm is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Infrastructure Roads team in Bedford. Overview

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure Roads team located in Bedford. You will be a Quantity Surveyor working on the Enabling phase supporting the forecasting and reporting to the client and internally to Skanska.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting cost control and capture
  • Supply Chain management within budget and time constraints
  • Support the timely and professional management of Client and Supply Chain contractual obligations

  • Decision Making – Will share information, openly and willingly, involve the right people in decisions, and take decisions in an effective, timely manner
  • Accountability – Will ensure commitments are clearly agreed and kept, and people hold themselves and others to account.

  • Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts/commercial law
  • Previous experience of managing the Client and Subcontractors
  • Knowledge of commercial digital systems (Oracle, CEMAR and ProjectWise)
  • Awareness of the commercial 'shared success' with the client
  • Provide commercial advice to delivery team
  • Support 'Scheme Budget' forecasting and reporting as required
