Qualifications

  • Must possess a CSCS Card (White) or be working towards it.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting, and management of multiple projects.
  • Keep line manager informed of all client and sub-contract accounts.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation such as CVRs, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Team for timely procurement of trades and suppliers.
  • Manage the production of final accounts, including re-measurement and evaluation of variations.

Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)

We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our Sheffield or Lincoln office. You must be willing to travel to either office 1 or 2 days a week depending on your location and be willing to travel to our Leeds office when required.

About The Role

As our Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting, and management of multiple projects from award to final account.

Your responsibilities include keeping your line manager informed of all accounts, both client and sub-contract, through to finalisation. You will have effective commercial control over all projects, including providing timely and accurate documentation such as CVRs, forecasts, cash flow forecasts, and the commercial register. You will collaborate with the Procurement Team to ensure the procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is timely and cost-effective, and manage the production of main and sub-contract final accounts, including re-measurement, evaluation, and agreement of variations, extensions of time, and claims.

About You

We seek an experienced Quantity Surveyor with knowledge of measurement and valuation, budgets, forecast management, CVRs, financial reports, and final accounts. Knowledge of responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance is essential, as is proficiency in IT systems. You should hold a Level 4 qualification in Construction or Management or demonstrate extensive relevant experience, and possess a CSCS Card (White) or be working towards it.
