Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our Tunbridge Wells team. You will deliver cost planning, data analysis and benchmarking to support value for money across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with clients, stakeholders and contractors, manage contract changes and administer NEC-based contracts, ensuring commercial control and compliance on each assignment.

Qualifications

• Familiar with commercial roles in large capital programmes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing abilities.
• Solid data analysis, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with NEC contracts is preferred.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying; RICS membership is a plus.

We are excited to be developing a new team based in our Tunbridge Wells office focused on delivering work within Kent, Surrey and Sussex while still supporting our national Clients and teams. You will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team working across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector Clients within the complex infrastructure sector, including defence, energy, highways, rail, utilities and water.

Your role

• Cost planning and estimation across the lifecycle of your projects.
• Collect data, analyse and define the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
• Produce Analysis and Benchmarking Reports that promote value for money and identify & define trends and cost drivers.
• Champion innovation and liaise with cross-function teams to develop ideas for continuous improvement.
• Support/lead tool development that integrates data, dashboards and outputs to represent unit cost analyses.
• Administer a variety of contracts to ensure commercial control and compliance.
• Manage contract change collaboratively and effectively and as appropriate for the project needs.

About you

• Familiar with commercial roles and functions for large capital programmes.
• Good communication and presentation skills, collaboration and teamwork.
• Good stakeholder management skills and client-facing attributes.
• Data analysis: Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience across a range of common forms of contract, ideally NEC.
• Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying (or its equivalent) with membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) preferred.
