Amentum, in partnership with our client, is delivering the Non-Nuclear Engineering Partnership (NNEP) – a major programme covering all non-nuclear built environment assets.
We’re looking for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to help lead cost and contract management across high-security, nationally significant projects. This role spans the full project lifecycle – from tender to close-out – supporting delivery teams with planning, reporting, and change control, while ensuring data integrity.Your expertise will shape outcomes that matter. Key Tasks
• High-Impact Projects: You’ll work on secure, long-term projects that genuinely shape the UK’s future infrastructure landscape.
• Full Lifecycle Exposure: From early procurement strategy through to contract negotiation, administration, and final account closure, your commercial expertise will be central.
• Collaborative Leadership: Partner with Project Managers, Controls teams, and Operational leads—shaping commercial outcomes and mentoring others along the way.
• Dynamic Environment: Operate at the forefront of NEC contract management and strategic subcontractor engagement in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
• Guide and coach operational teams on contracts, procurement, risk and profitability.
• Shape and manage subcontract strategy using NEC suite contracts.
• Work closely with Project Controls to ensure accurate cost forecasting and performance reporting.
• Drive commercial clarity and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Support strategic decision-making with business development and delivery teams.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Finance or Commerce (preferred).
• Solid NEC3/4 experience and contract law know-how.
• Proven success in commercial roles with leading infrastructure or construction contractors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Eligible for UK security clearance.
