Job summary

Job description

Our Client has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Reading.

Role Purpose:

To provide full lifecycle commercial and contract management support on secure, high-assurance infrastructure projects within a critical national programme. The role involves working on classified built environment assets, where security clearance and commercial integrity are essential.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage cost and commercial activities from tender through to project close-out
  • Guide and administer subcontract strategies using NEC suite contracts
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Controls teams to deliver commercial objectives
  • Ensure accurate cost forecasting, change management, and reporting
  • Provide contractual guidance to operational teams and stakeholders
  • Resolve commercial and contractual issues proactively
  • Support strategic decision-making with delivery and business development teams

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Finance or Commerce (preferred)
  • Proven experience in commercial roles within major infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Eligible for UK security clearance
