Job summary

Foster & May Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a creative, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy in the Birmingham area. The role sits within an expanding QS team handling a diverse range of projects from commercial to residential.

You will prepare cost plans, estimates and budgets and work closely with clients; a driving licence and ability to manage multiple projects are essential. This role offers hybrid working and APC support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or RICS associated.
• Chartered or willing to achieve chartered status.
• Live within 30 minutes of Birmingham city centre.
• Pre and post-contract experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Car and driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of projects including commercial, education, healthcare, leisure, motor retail, public sector and residential.
• Assist in cost management reports and develop cost estimates and budgets.
• Interact with clients face to face to ensure successful delivery.

The Quantity Surveyor's role

The successful Quantity Surveyor will join an expanding QS team where they will work on a wide array of different projects including commercial, education, health care, leisure, motor retail, public sector and residential.

The Quantity Surveyor will be expected to help complete cost management reports, develop cost estimates and budgets and working face to face with clients.

The Quantity Surveyor

• A Quantity Surveying degree or RICS associated
• Already chartered or willing to achieve chartered status
• Lives with 30 minutes of Birmingham city centre
• Pre and post contract experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
