Job summary

You will oversee commercial and contractual matters on sites, managing an assistant surveyor to guarantee successful project delivery. Candidates should have an accredited qualification from leading surveying institutes and relevant experience, especially in NEC contract management. Job description

VolkerLaser repairs, strengthens and waterproofs concrete and steel structures, offering a tailored package of specialist works to clients across the UK. Our structural solutions include bridge deck waterproofing, expansion joints, concrete repair and cathodic protection works, steel repair and strengthening work, carbon fibre and temporary works, jacking and bearing replacement. We also provide specialist lightweight decking and access solutions, as well as being specialists in long bridge and cable refurbishment.

We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work on projects in the Birmingham area.

You will be responsible for all commercial and contractual matters on the sites allocated to you and should be able to effectively manage an assistant surveyor to successfully deliver that project/projects.

About you

• You will hold an accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Adequate experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and/or Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in managing NEC forms of contract.
