Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, a key player within VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor for civils and infrastructure works on the Sizewell C project. You will oversee cost control, contract administration and value optimisation within a collaborative team setting.

Ideal candidates will have a QS qualification, NEC contract experience, and a track record in subcontract management and cost reporting, with progression towards RICS/ICES chartership.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred).
• Experience in subcontract management and cost reporting.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or commercial management.
• Progressing towards or already achieved RICS/ICES chartership.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of major construction packages with cost control, contract administration and value optimisation.
• Maintain robust commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.

We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in civils infrastructure projects.

VolkerFitzpatrick is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering works on the Sizewell C project, one of the UK's most significant infrastructure developments.

This is a key commercial role where you will support the successful delivery of major construction packages, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, value optimisation, and robust commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle. Working within a collaborative project environment, you will play an important part in the delivery of this landmark project.

About you
