MS599 - Quantity Surveyor

Salary: GBP55,000 per annum

Location: Norwich

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of one of our clients, to join their Highways team.

This will be working on a new highways project in locations around the South / East of the country.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Subcontractors dealing with certification of payment and change.
  • Manage allocated control accounts with site team including value draw and out-turn forecast / spend profiling.
  • Keep cost records and agreement of costs with National Highway Site Representatives.
  • Utilise site commercial and document systems (Oracle, CEMAR, Projectwise, Forecasting Tool).
  • Procure packages as the work proceeds.
  • Provide and present contract, cost and forecasting data to the site team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEC contract knowledge.
  • Experience working within infrastructure / civils.
  • Previous experience of managing subcontractors and preliminaries.
  • Knowledge of commercial digital systems.
  • Good communication skills.
