Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Working 2 days per week from one of our offices in Newcastle or Durham with Hybrid and Flexible working

Travel: On average 1 day per month

Employment Type: Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Circa £44,000 per annum, plus brilliant benefits including health cash plan!

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with trades, managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective repairs and maintenance.
• Visit sites to measure and value works, negotiate costs, and ensure budgets stay on track.
• Analyse contractor performance, manage relationships, and uphold commercial excellence.
• Use work-order systems to ensure accurate scheduling and data recording.
• Monitor budgets and ensure financial coding is spot-on every month.
• Act as a proactive partner, ensuring customer needs are central to everything we do.

What you’ll bring

• A Quantity Surveying qualification and a sharp commercial mind.
• Knowledge of procurement rules, housing repairs, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Confidence to challenge and support colleagues and contractors in delivering value.
• A current driving licence and access to a vehicle (we’ll cover mileage costs).

Job details

• Monday to Friday, flexible working hours. We’re also open to discussing a work pattern with you that is close to full time.
• You’ll manage your own diary.
• This is a hybrid role based from one of our offices Newcastle or Durham (2 days per week), from home.
• You’ll initially look after colleagues and stakeholders in the south and will travel to meet with them on average 1 day per month.
