Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor in our North East Construction business.

Location: Hebburn, Blyth

Hours: 40 Hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As Quantity Surveyor, you will initially work on the latter stages of a leisure/culture project in Blyth, seeing the project through to final account before being aligned with a new project in the region.

Your Day To Day Will Include:

• Managing applications for payment from subcontractors
• Preparation of applications for payment to clients
• Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
• Preparation of final accounts
• Checking and collating commercial information from the team

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is ideal if you have:

• Degree-level (or equivalent) qualification in quantity surveying
• Experience working within the main contractor environment
• Strong knowledge of NEC / JCT Contracts
• Strong knowledge of project commercial management
• Confidence in dealing with client representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
