Job description

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Graduate or Assistant Building Surveyor to join their expanding Building Surveying team in Cambridge.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest and most respected teams of Chartered Surveyors, supporting a broad client base across education, commercial, retail, industrial, and residential sectors.

As part of a dynamic, supportive team that includes Project Managers and Building Services Engineers, you'll work on a variety of professional and project-led instructions – ranging from dilapidations and schedules of condition to technical due diligence, defect diagnosis, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of buildings surveying services across a wider range of projects
  • Preparing high-quality professional reports and documentation
  • Managing your time effectively across multiple instructions
  • Engaging confidently with clients and contributing to business development activities
  • Supporting and learning from experienced professionals as you progress toward Chartership

What We're Looking For:

  • A relevant RICS-accredited degree (minimum 2:1)
  • Prior experience in a buildings surveying role (postgraduate preferred)
  • Enrolled on the RICS APC Building Surveying Pathway
  • Strong understanding of building pathology, inspection, design & specification
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and NBS platforms
