Qualifications

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
  • Experience working on large hospital/healthcare schemes.
  • A relevant third-level qualification.
  • Experience in report writing and engaging with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing tenders and managing financial aspects to Final Account completion.
  • Managing and reporting forecasts, targets, and site records.
  • Liaising with and commercially influencing the site management team.
  • Managing AQS and TQS, checking their work.

Quantity Surveyor - Manchester

The UK Build North Business is looking for Quantity Surveyors to join the team. We have positions available on a large build scheme in Manchester. Working alongside the Project Director, the role involves working within and assisting the commercial and construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, maintaining relationships, maximizing commercial returns, and managing risk. The team is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor aiming to progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor in the near future.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing tenders, analyzing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiating and finalizing subcontractor orders, and managing the financial and commercial aspects to Final Account completion.
  • Managing and reporting forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, and assisting with site records and document control.
  • Liaising with and commercially influencing/challenging the site management team while protecting JSS's commercial and contractual entitlements.
  • Managing and overseeing AQS and TQS, checking their work, and signing off SMM/measurement issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
  • Experience working on large hospital/healthcare schemes (ideal for one of the projects).
  • A relevant third-level qualification.
  • Experience in report writing, forecast planning, and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
