LOCATION: Central London - Hybrid
SALARY: £55,000 - £70,000

A leading contracting business is looking for a Quantity Surveyor within their construction and residential division, known for delivering high-quality projects with precision and excellence. With a strong reputation for innovation and customer satisfaction, the company offers hybrid working, which consists of their offices in Central London, sites across London, and home working.

THE JOB
As a Quantity Surveyor within their Construction and Residential division, you will play a vital role in managing costs and ensuring the financial efficiency of projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver value-driven solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
2. Conduct cost analysis and risk management.
3. Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and secure contracts.
4. Monitor project progress and prepare regular financial reports.
5. Manage project variations and ensure accurate cost control.
6. Ensure compliance with building regulations and contractual obligations.
7. Provide support and guidance on procurement strategies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction and/or residential sectors, ideally with flooring experience.
2. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
3. Experience on large scale residential schemes and a good understanding of how schemes of this scale work.
4. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
6. Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
7. Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS or CIOB) is highly desirable.
