Job description

A new Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager is needed to join our boutique clients. They work on exciting projects on a daily basis with their work being diverse and challenging. We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to be based in our clients office in Lincoln and work on national projects.
GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 + benefits

In this role the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing projects covering all of the RIBA Plan of Work stages including initial engagement, managing the design process, procurement of contractor (s) and managing the post contract elements on behalf of their Clients.
You will have the ability to work autonomously using your construction knowledge to problem solve and make decisions on a daily basis though be supported by an experienced team.

Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and analysis of cost estimates / cost plans
  • Preparation of key project documentation i.e. Programme, Project Execution Plans, Reports
  • Procurement and management of design team members, contractors and sub contractors as necessary
  • Preparation of Interim valuations and final account submissions
  • Managing and valuing variation accounts
  • Identification and management of commercial risks
  • Produce monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships

Who are we looking for?
  • Ideally be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • Degree in Construction related field i.e. Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying / Project Management
  • Experience working in the Construction sector
  • Experience in JCT Design & Build and two stage tender process
  • Good knowledge of construction contracts particularly JCT & NEC
