Job summary

McM Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor in Leeds. You will manage commercial performance across multiple projects from tender through to final account, with NEC contract administration and a focus on profitability.

The role offers hybrid working, strong career progression and exposure to major infrastructure, utilities, highways and environmental projects across Yorkshire and the North.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Experience managing projects from tender through to completion.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple projects.

• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and valuations.
• Manage subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.

Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure - Leeds

McM are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based out of Leeds.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across Yorkshire and the wider North of England, this is an opportunity to join a business delivering major infrastructure, utilities, highways and environmental projects, whilst benefiting from genuine career progression and long-term stability.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects


• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance


• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and valuations


• Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts


• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities


• Supporting project delivery teams to maximise profitability


• Negotiating and agreeing variations and final accounts


• Producing accurate financial reporting for senior management


• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities


• Strong NEC contract knowledge


• Experience managing projects from tender through to completion


• Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual awareness


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline


• Full UK driving licence
