Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor for Dalkia Energy Services, reporting to and supported by a Regional Commercial Manager, you will work within one of our regional delivery teams on decarbonisation projects. You will manage and control the commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of designated projects to maximize profitability, minimize risk, and meet contractual obligations.

Based from the Leeds office, the region covers projects in the Midlands and North, supporting hybrid/remote working between site and office visits.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Produce accurate project commercial reports and forecasts.
• Prepare timely client valuations.
• Manage project sub-contract procurement.
• Prepare subcontracts and all required documentation following business guidelines.
• Manage and control sub-contract accounts and variations.
• Ensure projects' commercial obligations are administered according to client contracts.
• Collaborate with site operations and design teams to identify and mitigate risks and opportunities.
• Manage change control processes.
• Liaise with Commercial Managers and Project Directors on contractual issues and take necessary actions.
• Attend project and company meetings.
• Maintain and develop professional relationships with clients to support future business development.

Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience

• A formal qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., BSc, MSc, HND, or recognised vocational routes such as RICS Certificate in Quantity Surveying Practice).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desired but not essential:

• Professional memberships (e.g., RICS, CICES, CIOB).
• Experience in Main Contracting or Subcontracting environments.
• Experience in M&E, MEP, building refurbishment, or civil engineering.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors.
• Experience on projects valued between £2m and £20m.
• Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts.
• Experience with cost management systems like Navision, Oracle, SAP, Coins.
