Job summary

Morgan Sindall Property Services Limited is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join our Leeds office. You will manage day-to-day commercial control across multiple projects from award through final account, with timely reporting and cash-flow forecasting.

You will maintain progress updates for client and sub-contract accounts, ensuring compliant documentation and effective procurement. A full UK driving licence and CSCS White card are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
• CSCS Card White is required or working towards it.
• Experience managing CVRs and Final Accounts is essential.
• Knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Kitchen & Bathroom programmes desirable.
• A full, clean UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day commercial control, reporting and management of multiple projects from award to final account.
• Keep line manager apprised of progress of all accounts (client and sub-contract) through to finalisation.
• Ensure procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is timely and cost-effective; manage final accounts and re-measurement as necessary.

Permanent – Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

We are looking to recruit an Quantity Surveyor to join us based from our office in Hunslet, Leeds.

About the Role

As our Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting and management of multiple projects from award up to final account.

Within the role, keeping your line manager appraised of the progress of all accounts, both client and sub-contract, through to finalisation. You’ll have effective commercial control of all allocated projects, including the provision of timely and accurate documentation in accordance with the reporting timetable, in particular CVR’s, forecasts, continuous improvement documents, cash flow forecast and the commercial register.

In conjunction with the Procurement Team, you will ensure that the procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is undertaken in a timely and cost effective manner and manage the timely production of the main/sub-contract final accounts, including re-measurement as necessary to ensure the best result, evaluation and agreement of all variations, extensions of time, loss and expense claims.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and a strong background in Social Housing, particularly Responsive Repairs & Maintenance (R&M) and a CSCS Card White (or working towards).

Experience managing CVRs and Final Accounts is essential, with knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Kitchen & Bathroom (K&B) programmes desirable.

Due to nature of the role, you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months.
