Apple Technical Recruitment are partnering with a leading family-owned construction business to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for the Eastern region on the c£45k-£55k basic salary plus benefits. The role is based on-site for a c£20m New Build Education project and will involve close collaboration with senior colleagues.

The successful candidate will carry out daily commercial management, procurement, on-site measurements and valuations, manage variations and cost control, and settle final accounts

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years as a QS within a Main Contractor.
• Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying or a comparable qualification.
• Skills: Very good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Sub-contract enquiries and procurement.
• Measurement and valuations of work on-site.
• Managing variations and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The business is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Eastern region working as part of a team a c£20m New Build Education project.

The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is an excellent mentor.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for daily commercial management functions, working as part of a team, including:

• Sub-contract enquiries and procurement.
• Measurement and valuations of work on-site.
• Managing variations and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Settling final accounts and ensuring practical completion is met commercially.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years as a QS within a Main Contractor.
• Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying or a comparable qualification.
• Skills: Very good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Background: Previous experience as an Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, or Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
