Job summary

GVR Solutions is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Central London to join their commercial team, working with a leading contractor delivering modular turnkey services to Defence, Education and Accommodation sectors.

The role focuses on managing reports, feasibility studies, cost control and budgeting, while liaising with clients and senior management to achieve project targets.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decisions and reporting.
• Self-sufficient and able to work independently.
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects.
• Excellent communication and oral skills.
• Comfortable liaising with Clients and Senior Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial reports and advise the management team.

• Factor in health and safety regulations.

GVR Solutions are currently representing a market leading Main contractor and they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As a leading contractor they supply full modular turnkey services to the Defence, Education and Accommodation sectors.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Be involved in managing the commercial reports and advice to the management team
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Ensure the commercial targets are achieved including project and programme cost, quality and time.
• Delegate work where necessary and liaise with team on project progress
• Factor in health and safety regulations
• Managing the costs of the project, budgeting and cash flows
• Carry out measurement for valuations
• Analyse progress and reporting
• Identify Opportunities and risks

The Quantity Surveyor must have/be:

• A detailed knowledge of Quantity Surveying working for a main contractor or Residential contractor
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting
• Self-sufficient
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects
• Excellent communication and oral skills
