Job summary

Criterion Capital is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in London to oversee budgets, cost control, and contracts across a portfolio of developments. This role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

You will collaborate with project managers and site teams, manage procurement, and provide financial insight to support decision-making. 2+ years’ experience is preferred; MS Excel, Procore, and DocuSign proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in-house contractor or development.
• Proven track record of managing project finances and contracts on large-scale developments.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets.
• Conduct cost analysis and cost control throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, bills of quantities, and contracts.
• Source and procure materials and subcontractors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and contribute to the growth and success of our business.Projects across the portfolio include:commercial to hotel conversions, mixed use residential, private residential refurbishments.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within an in-house contractor or development business.
• Proven track record of managing project finances and contracts on large-scale developments.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in using relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, Procore, DocuSign).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
