Job summary

Falcon Green is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for residential construction projects in the Greater London area. You will manage budgets, cost plans and monthly reporting while coordinating procurement and subcontractor packages.

The role requires strong experience with valuations, variations and final accounts, and a sharp eye for cost control. You will work closely with the on-site team to track progress and changes, ensuring commercial success for each project.

Qualifications

Quantity Surveyor - Residential Construction

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost-control side of residential construction projects, from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing project budgets, cost plans, forecasts and monthly commercial reporting
• Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier packages
• Managing procurement from tender through to appointment
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes to identify cost and commercial risks
• Managing valuations, applications, variations and change control
• Monitoring project costs, commitments, cash flow and forecast final accounts
• Working closely with the site team to understand progress, programme changes and emerging costs
• Managing subcontractor accounts through to agreement of final accounts
• Identifying opportunities for cost control and value engineering
• Providing clear commercial advice to the Project Manager and senior management

About You

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within residential construction
• Experience across new-build residential projects, apartments, developments or high-end homes
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement, construction costs and package management
• Confident with valuations, variations and final accounts
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications and construction programmes
• Commercially minded, organised and detail-focused
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent industry experience
