VolkerHighways is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities for the Kingston & Sutton Street Lighting contract, part of a £20m long-term framework with Kingston upon Thames and Sutton. Based at the Wimbledon depot, you will manage cost reporting, forecasting, and subcontractor payments across complex street lighting projects.

You will hold a Degree, HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field, with membership in RICS/CIOB/ICES desirable, and you will mentor

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within street lighting, highways, local authority infrastructure, utilities or civil engineering environments.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with experience administering NEC contracts, term maintenance agreements and long-term service contracts.
• Experience managing subcontractors, cost control, variations, applications for payment and financial reporting within operational maintenance and asset renewal programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, operational teams and supply chain partners.

• Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and key stakeholders.
• Support, mentor and develop junior commercial team members.
• Promote compliance with commercial, contractual, HSEQ and governance requirements.

We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts., Based at our Wimbledon depot, this is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join VolkerHighways' Street Lighting team, supporting the delivery of a £20m long-term contract for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Sutton. Running until 2031, the contract encompasses the maintenance and upgrade of over 26,000 street lighting assets, including major LED conversion programmes, emergency response services, and critical infrastructure improvements that help create safer, more sustainable communities across South London.

We're looking for an experienced and commercially strong Senior Quantity Surveyor who can lead commercial functions across complex projects. You will bring, Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline. Membership of, or working towards, RICS, CIOB or ICES is desirable.
