A leading company in the refinery sector is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor for a temporary role, focusing on construction contracts management and cost monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, contract expertise, and a focus on continuous improvement, contributing significantly to the refinery's capital budget management.
My client is a refinery located on the east coast of England in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The Humber facility includes crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrodesulfurization, thermal cracking, and delayed coking units. The refinery has two coking units with associated calcining plants. It is the only coking refinery in the United Kingdom and produces high-quality specialty graphite and anode-grade petroleum cokes. The refinery also produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Most of the light oils are distributed to customers in the UK via pipeline, railcar, and truck, while other refined petroleum products are exported globally.
They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a temporary basis initially for 24 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is within their Project Group and reports to the Project Manager.
Standard hours are 08:00 - 16:30, with flexible working patterns available as part of the company's policy.
