About the Role:
- The purpose of the role is to provide quantity surveying support to the project infrastructure procurements and the associated costing activities.
- The role will require ongoing interaction with the Commercial team as well as the wider JPT with an emphasis of working closely with the Project Manager to maintain an understanding of the schedule and payment applications.
- Support in the delivery of periodic performance reporting.
- The role would typically be expected to be conducted in a hybrid working arrangement from Glasgow City Centre (3 days office, 2 days WfH).
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assure contractor CE quotations, supporting Commercial and project teams.
- Attend programme/commercial meetings and report on contract management metrics.
- Provide commercial advice (e.g. retention release, payment and default notices, EOT entitlement).
- Recommend subcontractor payments, including liquidated damages.
- Draft responses for Early Warnings, compensation events, quotations, and instructions.
- Lead payment assessments and forecasts, reporting to the PM.
- Manage PO values and invoicing.
- Administer CEMAR and support weekly EW and commercial meetings.
- Provide updates on payments, forecasts, and cost assurance, including risk meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in quantity surveying on complex programmes/projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and processes.
- Experience using CEMAR.
- UK National with (or eligible for) SC Clearance.
- Degree in Cost/Commercial discipline (or equivalent)
- Experience of working at similar regulated site to deliver programmes/ projects.
- RICS Chartered or equivalent.
