Job summary

Altrad is seeking an experienced Acceptance Manager to support a major programme in a highly regulated environment. You will ensure processes, systems, and equipment meet operational, regulatory, and customer requirements for authorisation and entry into service, collaborating with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

You will lead the development of the acceptance strategy during design and tender phases, with responsibility expanding as the programme and team grow.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, acceptance, operational readiness and handover activities.
  • Knowledge of risk management, quality assurance, governance frameworks, and complex programme delivery.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, engineering, or equipment delivery programmes.
  • Ability to interpret and produce technical documentation, including reports, plans, specifications, and logic diagrams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Sole UK National, with the ability to obtain and SC Clearance.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional engineering institution.
  • Knowledge of nuclear engineering standards and operational procedures.
  • Experience with Hold Point Control processes.
  • Experience supporting large-scale nuclear infrastructure or capital delivery programmes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise asset management systems and associated standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the programme acceptance strategy, ensuring alignment with governance requirements, Asset Management Systems, and Safety Management Arrangements.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure acceptance and through-life operational requirements are considered from the earliest design stages.
  • Support the development of operational readiness and entry-into-service strategies to enable a smooth transition into operation.
  • Develop and maintain the route through acceptance and entry into service, ensuring compliance with programme schedules and acceptance processes.
  • Produce and manage technical documentation to support acceptance activities and deliverables.
  • Contribute to Hold Point Control strategies and associated documentation. Support integrated programme schedules for acceptance and commissioning activities, including milestones and key deliverables.
  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities associated with acceptance activities, developing mitigation plans where required.
  • Provide technical acceptance input into procurement activities and contractor engagement.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the programme lifecycle.

About the Role:
