About the Role:

We are a specialist property maintenance contractor with a growing portfolio of passive fire protection works. We are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Orpington, managing the commercial delivery of fire stopping, fire door, and compartmentation projects within domestic and commercial property settings.

Youll play a key role in ensuring all works are delivered on budget and in line with client expectations, whilst upholding safety, compliance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial function of multiple passive fire protection contracts
  • Prepare and submit valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitor cost performance and report on financial forecasts (CVRs)
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Support with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, contract terms, and industry standards
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders, budgets, and pricing of new work
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation
  • Attend site meetings and client progress reviews

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in property maintenance or passive fire protection
  • Strong knowledge of fire stopping, fire doors, and fire safety regulations
  • Understanding of SOR (schedule of rates) and measured term contracts
  • Proficient in commercial reporting and job costing
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification (preferred)
