Job description

Quantity Surveyor - High End Commercial buildings - Construction & Fit-out

A renowned consultancy, with a solid reputation on the market, are looking for a Quantity surveyor to be part of their growing team and be the commercial lead on their projects. This is both pre and post award work, where you will be responsible for maximising the commercial success and profitability of each project. Subsequently this is a great chance to join an organisation with a solid reputation who can really grow your career, while working on interesting, high-end projects.

The role is based in London, where some travel will be required.

As the company mainly works on commercial projects (hotels and their leisure facilities/centres are a large part of the portfolio), experience in a similar field would be a strong advantage to provide you with the best chance of success.

There are a few other key areas that are needed for this position:

  • Strong previous experience as a quantity surveyor, acting as a commercial lead across a pre and post award on a project.
  • Working with commercial buildings, especially construction and fit-outs.
  • Experience with managing various types of contracts, including JCT.
  • Able to manage subcontractors
  • Keep track of costs (material, labour etc.) and produce the bill of quantities etc.

This is a role where you can utilise your experience as a Quantity Surveyor but also work on interesting projects that have a high value around London. In addition, there is some flexibility/hybrid working, however you should be able to commute into central London easily.
