Vickerstock is partnering with a leading construction and civil engineering contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for their Tyrone-based Commercial team. You will own subcontractor packages, manage commercial performance and contribute to successful project delivery across residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure sectors.

The role offers a salary up to £60k with performance bonuses, private medical and life insurance, plus enhanced annual leave and long-service rewards.

Qualifikationen

• A third-level degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline.
• Minimum of five years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, and/or PWC).
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Negotiating, procuring and appointing subcontractors across projects.
• Managing subcontractor packages from appointment to final account.
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations, variations and related docs.
• Working with Contracts Managers and site teams to maintain cost control.

Working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of subcontractor packages, manage commercial performance and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects. You will work closely with Contracts Managers, site teams and the wider Commercial team, with opportunities for career progression and continued professional development.

You will be responsible for:

• Negotiating, procuring and appointing subcontractors across allocated projects.
• Managing subcontractor packages from initial appointment through to final account.
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations, variations and associated commercial documentation.
• Working closely with Contracts Managers and site teams to maintain cost control and support project delivery.
• Carrying out site visits to assess completed works, monitor quality and manage commercial costs.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and information management systems.
• Supporting the wider Commercial team in delivering projects to the required quality and value-for-money standards.

What you will need

• A third-level degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline.
• At least five years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role.
• A good working knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC and/or PWC.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing subcontractor packages, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and use your own initiative.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
