Job description

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dungannon

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll provide crucial commercial support to our contract and project teams. This includes maintaining commercial information, ensuring compliance with contracts, and collaborating with stakeholders on variations, claims, and payments.

Salary: Based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and award sub-contract packages
  2. Complete budgets, cash flows, and valuations
  3. Negotiate with clients and evaluate project claims
  4. Identify variances and negotiate final accounts
  5. Maintain accurate reporting and deadlines

Internal Relationships:

  1. Support commercial, estimators, and support staff
  2. Ensure effective interaction between teams

Key Measures & Targets:

  1. Accurate monthly forecasting
  2. Challenge resources and costs
  3. Maintain deadlines

Key Relationships:

  1. Commercial/Contracts Managers, Business Development
  2. Purchasing/Procurement

Reporting:

  1. Report on contract financial performance
  2. Ensure accurate cost/value reporting
  3. Manage cash flows and forecasts

Processes:

  1. Ensure adherence to commercial processes
  2. Actively seek process improvements

External Relationships:

  1. Ensure appropriate contract terms
  2. Foster client relationships
  3. Manage subcontractor appointments and negotiations

Job Type: Full-time
