Job description

We are looking for an experienced “Quantity Surveyor” from a consultancy (PQS) background to join a multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Plymouth.

Working on exciting projects across Devon and Cornwall, the successful “Quantity Surveyor”will work on a broad range of projects ranging in value from £3m – £50m. They have the stability of working on Healthcare and Educational frameworks and the interest of building one off schemes for private clients.

You will be involved from the very beginning of each clients journey, working closely with Architects and Engineers to bring to life stunning new properties in equally stunning locations.

Key duties will include:

  • Cost Planning and Budgeting
  • Tender Management
  • Cost Control
  • Valuation and Payments
  • Identify and analyze commercial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them
  • Advise on contract terms, including variations and disputes, to ensure the client’s interests are protected
  • Value Engineering
  • Cost-benefit analyses to assess the financial viability of projects

The right candidate

  • Degree Qualified
  • Currently working for a Construction Consultancy as a quantity Surveyor
  • Local to Plymouth or relocating
  • Personable and client facing
