Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dartford

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 basic

We’re working with a leading residential developer in Dartford seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their successful commercial team. This is a great opportunity for a driven and commercially focused QS to progress within a forward-thinking business that values internal development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing budgets, cost forecasting, and reporting
  • Procuring subcontractors and materials
  • Preparing tender documentation and analysing returns
  • Managing variations, valuations, and interim payments
  • Maintaining accurate records for subcontractor and supplier accounts
  • Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience within residential construction (housebuilder or main contractor)
  • Strong understanding of cost planning, CVRs, and contract negotiation
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and confidently
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with COINS and Bluebeam is an advantage
