Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying required.

  • Proficient with IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Solihull, West Midlands., As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in managing the commercial aspects of our construction projects. You'll be responsible for maximising project profitability whilst building strong relationships with clients, contractors and your team. This is an opportunity to make a real impact, working on exciting regional projects where your expertise will be valued and your contributions will help shape successful outcomes.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through effective contract placement and control
  • Appointing subcontractors and placing orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities
  • Measuring and valuing work to support customer invoicing and supplier payments, whilst positively managing project cash flows
  • Leading and motivating the project's commercial staff, fostering collaborative relationships across all functions
  • Assessing, controlling and mitigating commercial and contractual risks whilst providing accurate reports and forecasts

You have clear communication skills and experience working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and the wider supply chain

Qualifications and Experience
  • You hold relevant qualifications - a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
  • You have experience in a similar role and demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • You're confident using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems
