Qualifications

Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering
Location: Sheffield

Salary: 40,000 - 55,000 (DOE) + Package
A leading civile engineering contractor in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support continued growth across their national project portfolio.
This is a great opportunity to join a specialist team delivering ground investigation, remediation, and geotechnical services for a wide range of infrastructure, construction, and energy clients. You'll play a key role in the commercial management of complex ground engineering projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial management of geotechnical and ground investigation contracts (NEC3/NEC4).
  • Preparing and reviewing tender documentation and contract variations.
  • Monitoring project costs and budgets, ensuring profitability and value for money.
  • Managing subcontracts and liaising with site teams and clients.
  • Supporting bid teams with cost planning and risk assessments.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civils or geotechnical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a technical delivery team.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
