Ivy Resource Group are recruiting for a talented and driven Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of new build housing developments in Cheltenham. Our client is a reputable residential developer looking for a commercially astute individual to join their team on a permanent basis with an immediate start available.



The Company

The Role Entails:

This role is integral to the commercial success of multiple residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards. You'll be involved from pre-construction through to final accounts, working closely with the wider project and site teams.



What You Will Be Doing:



  • Preparing and managing project budgets, valuations, and cost reports




  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages, including tender analysis




  • Assisting with feasibility studies, cost planning and value engineering exercises




  • Managing and tracking variations, change orders, and site instructions




  • Carrying out monthly valuations and cost forecasting




  • Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions




  • Liaising closely with the site and technical teams to manage cost and risk




  • Supporting with the preparation of final accounts




  • Attending site meetings and progress reviews




  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders




  • Ensuring commercial best practices are followed across the development lifecycle





What We Need From You:



  • Experience in residential construction, ideally within a developer or main contractor setting




  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control and procurement processes




  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously




  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills




  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities




  • Proficiency with industry software (e.g., COINS, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.)




  • A proactive and professional approach with a focus on delivering results




  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or equivalent experience)




  • Full UK driving licence





Salary & Benefits:



  • £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
