We have an exciting new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our business, supporting our Project Delivery team based at our Head Office in Chandlers Ford.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of our Project Delivery & Solutions Team, interacting daily with Selwood Stakeholders, Customers, Site Contractors, and third-party suppliers. This role manages the day-to-day commercial control, reporting, and management of multiple projects from initial award to final account. Responsibilities include providing timely and accurate documentation such as CVRs, forecasts, improvement documents, cash flow forecasts, and maintaining the commercial register.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships within the team and with external suppliers and contractors.
  • Support the Project Manager in efficient project implementation, monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Chair project commercial reviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Procure sub-trades and suppliers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee pre-construction and onboarding of new contractors, reviewing pricing strategies during pre-con and mobilization.
  • Manage the production of main/subcontract final accounts, remeasurement, evaluation, and agreement of variations, extensions, delays, and claims.
  • Assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects or phases where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • RICS qualification or equivalent preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in M&E Contracting.
  • Good knowledge of NEC 3&4, JCT, and subcontract contracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and methodical approach.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, sometimes with overnight stays.
  • Full UK driving license required.
