Location: Cumbria, Carlisle
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We’re currently hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage painting and refurbishment contracts across Cumbria, Carlisle. This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in planned maintenance, repairs, and redecoration projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and price tenders for painting and planned refurbishment works
  • Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring cost control and margin improvement
  • Produce and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and financial forecasts
  • Administer subcontractor packages and applications for payment
  • Evaluate bills of quantities and schedules of rates accurately
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget


Requirements:
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in painting, refurbishment, or planned maintenance sectors
  • Commercially strong with knowledge of contracts, procurement, and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Comfortable working with both direct labour and subcontractors
