Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Cardiff, South Wales

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 (Car Allowance + Package)

Location: Cardiff, South Wales

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Role Description

The Resolute is partnering with an M&E contractor based in Cardiff, South Wales that operates across the commercial and industrial sector, with a recent turnover of circa 40m. This role would provide support to the project team on all commercial aspects of projects.

The Quantity Surveyor will be managing costs and contractual matters, liaising with customer representatives and other third parties, and ensuring that the company's objectives are achieved.

This role would be ideal for a Quantity Surveyor looking to transfer their skills from the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors and move in to M&E. With a 3 year project secured this role is a great stepping stone to develop your sector expereience and progress in to a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities will include:

  • Review and negotiate contract terms & conditions with clients as needed
  • Generate and submit monthly interim payment applications
  • Create and analyze monthly project cashflow and profitability forecasts/CVRs
  • Track payment receipts and follow up on overdue accounts monthly
  • Evaluate subcontractor applications and invoices alongside Project Managers
  • Process draft subcontract payments and distribute payment notices
  • Oversee contract variations and support the Senior Quantity Surveyor compensation events for both client and subcontractor relationships

Quantity Surveyor Qualifications & desired skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying preferable
  • Full driving license
