Job description

Contract Scotland are working closely with an established main contractor based in Stirling to source an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their upcoming work across the central belt. As a leader in the Scottish construction industry, they will allow you to gain valuable experience working on large and diverse projects and offer continued training and development opportunities.


As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  1. Advising and liaising with operational management on contract and commercial matters.
  2. Advising on all commercial reports; assuring valuations are maximised and paid on time.
  3. Reporting on monthly costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing cost forecasts.
  4. Ensuring quotations are evaluated carefully and comply with project specifications.
  5. Successfully managing sub-contractor accounts.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  1. Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or alternative relevant discipline.
  2. Have demonstrable commercial experience within a main contracting environment, ideally on projects £20m+.
