Quantity Surveyor - Demolition and Enabling Works

Due to a healthy order book, there is a need for a Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Director in the successful commercial and financial management of projects and tenders within the demolition and general enabling works sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing costs to maximize project margins and ensure payment delivery.
  • Develop future client relationships.
  • Support project delivery and estimating teams with commercial tasks, including:
  • Prompt presentation of all payment applications and final accounts, ensuring contractual entitlements are met.
  • Ensure receipt of payments in accordance with contract terms.
  • Prepare and present monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and final cost/value forecasts.
  • Assist in procurement, negotiation, and placing of sub-contract orders.
  • Support the financial management of sub-contracts through settlement of Final Accounts.

Quality Standards:

All tasks require attention to detail and pride in presentation, especially when drafting contractual letters and notices to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in the demolition and enabling works sector in the UK.
  • Full understanding of JCT forms of contract.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel due to site locations.
