The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of this care home development, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance, and value for money across all phases of the project. You will work closely with the site and commercial teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all costs relating to the new build care home project, from initial estimates to final accounts
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Conduct regular cost analysis, risk assessment, and reporting
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations, place orders, and manage variations
  • Monitor and control project budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction sector
  • Previous experience working on care homes, healthcare, or residential new build projects preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence
