Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a respected social housing provider. The role supports hybrid working with offices in Ashington and/or Durham, delivering day-to-day QS duties and maximizing value from assets.

Applicants should have a relevant degree, social housing experience, and contract administration or financial control skills; a Full UK Driving License is required. A supportive pension and health benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day quantity surveying duties including valuations, certifications, variations and final accounts.
• Report on performance, cashflow, unit data and budget control; identify under-performance and mitigation actions.
• Attend sites, inspect works, develop scopes/schedules, contribute to tender documents and pre-start activities.
• Maximise value for money and social value by identifying risks and supporting continuous improvement.

We are recruiting aQuantitySurveyor to join a respected social housing provider, responsible for delivering the day-to-day quantity surveying function and is key in maximising the social and financial return from their assets. This role is offering hybrid working, with their office being based in Ashington and or/Durham!

Quantity Surveyorkey responsibilities include:

• Deliver the day-to-day quantity surveying duties, including valuations, certifications, variations, final accounts, compliance with contract conditions, legislation, financial regulations, and delegatory requirements.
• Support contract award and administration by reporting on performance, completions, cashflow, unit/component data, and budget control, while identifying under-performanceand supporting mitigation actions.
• Attend sites, inspect works in progress, help develop scopes and schedules of work, contribute to tender documents and pricing schedules, and support pre-start and project delivery activities.
• Maximise value for money, social value, and operational efficiency by identifying commercial and operational risks, streamlining processes, and supporting continuous improvement across planned investment and asset activity.

The successfulQuantitySurveyorwill have:
