The Apprentice Quantity Surveying role

Your specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for materials, labour, and plant
  • Supporting the development of comprehensive cost plans and budgets
  • Helping in the preparation of Gateway documents
  • Monitoring project costs and expenditures, ensuring alignment with the budget
  • Preparing regular financial reports and forecasts
  • Supporting the implementation of risk management plans
  • Participating in site visits to monitor progress and verify quantities

The Apprenticeship Standard

This is a level 4 apprenticeship, which means that on its completion you will have an industry-recognised qualification as well as valuable practical experience.

Construction quantity surveying technician / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education

SRM's chosen programme is delivered by Lakes College in conjunction with the College for Nuclear in West Cumbria.

Please note that due to the nature of our sites, applicants must be over 18

The apprenticeship course entry requirements are as follows:

  • Five GCSEs at level 4+ or equivalent, including Maths, English, and Science; or a Level 2 Apprenticeship.
