Job Title: Senior/Associate Director Quantity Surveyor/Project Monitor

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £65,000 + benefits

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Overview

An established and reputable construction consultancy is seeking a highly capable and ambitious Senior/Associate Director level Quantity Surveyor or Project Monitor to join their growing team. This role offers a rare opportunity to become second-in-command in the office, working closely with the regional lead and playing a key part in shaping the team's direction.

The position provides a strong platform for long-term career progression, including the potential to move into a senior leadership role. It is ideally suited for someone ready to take on more responsibility, manage client relationships, and contribute strategically to business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality cost consultancy services across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments
  • Undertake project monitoring for development funders, including site inspections, risk assessment, reporting, and tracking against key deliverables
  • Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies, tender documentation, and post-contract cost control
  • Support the management and mentoring of junior staff, providing technical guidance and helping develop a high-performing team
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders, contributing to business growth
  • Assist the regional lead with office operations, resourcing, and client development
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS accredited)
  • MRICS qualified or working towards full chartership (support available)
  • Proven experience in a PQS or project monitoring role, preferably in a consultancy environment
  • Excellent understanding of cost planning, procurement strategy, contract administration, and project reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially aware, and eager to step into a leadership role
