Job summary

Harnham in London is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to develop predictive models forecasting sporting event outcomes and to drive trading performance.

You'll build models from real-world data, research new forecasting approaches, and apply advanced statistics. Proficiency in Python is required; collaboration with researchers, traders, and engineers is essential. This role offers a hands-on, non-corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
• MSc or PhD preferred, exceptional candidates considered from other backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and mathematical models using real-world data
• Research new approaches to improve forecasting accuracy
• Apply probability, statistics, and quantitative techniques to challenging problems
• Write high-quality Python code
• Test and validate models using large datasets
• Work closely with researchers, traders, and engineers to improve existing strategies
