Job summary

City St George’s, University of London is seeking a researcher to support a Fleming Initiative and GSK funded AMR project in global health. The postholder will join the Department of Population, Health and Policy to carry out quantitative research and data collection.

You will analyse complex datasets, apply data science tools, and contribute to publications. The position offers a sector-leading salary, pension, and staff development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of quantitative research methods and their application.
  • Strong proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R, SPSS or C).
  • Track record of applying statistical or data science tools for research papers/projects.
  • Comfortable with complex, multi-source datasets and ambiguity in real-world data.
  • Experience of report writing and/or co-authoring peer-reviewed publications is essential.
  • Desirable knowledge of antimicrobial resistance or infectious diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out high-quality quantitative research as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis and prepare analytical datasets.
  • Use data science tools to validate datasets and support research outputs.
